Emerald Quartzite Outdoor Oasis

This creative sanctuary outside the 2025 Kips Bay Decorator Show House New York centers nature in an art-filled space. Jamie Drake began by envisioning a plinth made of Emerald Quartzite, a Brazilian stone known for its celadon background color and striking emerald veining. An outdoor sculptureon top of the monolithic pedestal shows off the artwork from all sides, while two additional slabs of Emerald Quartzite frame the focal point of the patio. The quartzite provides a green backdrop for the surrounding bushes and trees, almost extending the natural flora into the sunken patio. Brick pavers, a sisal area rug, glassoccasional tables, and woven furniture add more natural materials to the mix.
