Cherry Blossom Extra Marble Fireplace

Interior designer Andrea Schumacher chose Cherry Blossom Extra Marble Slab to fabricate a one-of-a-kind fireplace in this worldly sitting room created for the 2025 Kips Bay Decorator Show House New York. The fireplace’s boxy silhouette and clean lines contrast with the marble’s sinuous patterns—a galaxy of pink, plum, black, and gold celestial bodies. Artwork from the designer’s childhood includes an abstract painting by her grandmother Elizabeth Monath and an African mask on the mantle. To provide that a rich stone can be combined beautifully with a complex pattern, Schumacher paired the opulent marble with Guli Mask, a wallcovering from her own collection. Creative and wondrous, this majestic fireplace welcomes guests to warm themselves with fire and spark some conversation.
