Joshua Levinson
President, Wholesale
 |
Joshua (Josh) Levinson was always intent on following in his father’s footsteps and attending Law School; but soon after graduating from the University of Colorado in 1994 with a B.A. in Political Science, he began working for his Cousin Nancy Epstein’s tile business. He has since learned from industry colleagues that once you enter the tile trade, it’s easy to get set in stone and never leave.
Now the president of Artistic Tile’s wholesale division, Josh is a proud ambassador for the brand interfacing with both customers and suppliers globally. He finds great excitement in visiting the quarries of the natural stones that Artistic Tile offers, noting that the quarry is the heart and soul of the industry. “To visit a quarry is to truly know and appreciate the stone that is born there,” he says. On a daily basis, Josh works to insure the timely, safe and successful installation of Artistic Tile’s beautiful product on job sites worldwide. |
Over time, Josh has naturally gravitated towards the technical and logistical side of the business. He is proactively working to provide members of the trade and homeowners alike with continuing education programs such as “Installation Pitfalls – How to Avoid Them,” which Josh wrote and had accredited with ASID and IIDA. Years of practical knowledge gained through job site visits, quarry tours, factory inspections, and educational seminars have given him the knowledge necessary to excel in this capacity. Within the past two years, Josh has been certified by the IICRC (Institute of Inspection Cleaning and Restoration Certification), for Substrate/Subfloor Inspection and Ceramic Tile Inspection. He is frequently invited to speak at conferences.
On a personal note, Josh is married with three young children. In his spare time, he is an avid bicyclist – riding over 4,000 miles in a typical season – and enjoys playing basketball. He is a coach for the local youth league basketball teams.
