ARTISTIC TILE INTRODUCES NEW MANUFACTURING INITIATIVES IN RESPONSE TO INCREASED DEMAND FROM A&D BUSINESS
(New York, NY, November 10, 2013)--Artistic Tile, known for its in-stock selection of unique tile & stone, announces the installation of its third Waterjet Cutting Machine in its Secaucus, NJ production facility. The announcement was made at the BDNY trade show where Artistic Tile is exhibiting in Booth 476.
“The new 4-Head, increased-capacity Waterjet machine will allow us to respond quickly to the increased demand we’ve realized for custom mosaics and patterns in a variety of stone, porcelain and glass materials. The increased demand signifies a return to truly customized looks that today’s consumers are looking for,” said Nancy Epstein, Founder and CEO of Artistic Tile.
A wide variety of materials, including stone, porcelain and glass can be cut into intricate shapes using the state-of-the-art waterjet technology, yielding tightly nested parts and offering clients endless possibilities and combinations. The cutting process introduces a cutting media into water forced through a small orifice under high pressure to produce organic flowing shapes. The production facility operates with the latest sustainability practices, including the re-circulation of approximately two million gallons of rain water per month and a solar installation consisting of 1,200 panels, capable of producing enough power to generate approximately 85% of the Secaucus facilities annual power needs.
Appealing to the demands of the A&D community, Artistic Tile offers custom options along with quick turnaround samples, from its environmentally-conscious 110,000 square foot manufacturing facility and distribution center. In addition to the waterjet technology, Artistic Tile has a finishing line, which is unparalleled in the Northeast, producing honed, polished, brushed or textured stone finishes, as well as repairing uneven surfaces to ensure perfection in every job.

Artistic Tile Goes Even Greener with Solar Power
Secaucus, NJ - Artistic Tile is pleased to announce the installation of a photovoltaic (solar) array on the roof of their headquarters in Secaucus, NJ.
Working with American Clean Energy LLC, the 1,650 installed solar panels allows the company to decrease reliance on the city's energy grid by turning to the unlimited resource of the sun to produce up to 85% of the power use each year at their 110,000 square foot home office and production/warehousing facility.
Said Artistic Tile Vice President Zachary Epstein, “In addition to the energy savings, we are very excited about achieving the environmental benefits that going solar provides. It fits well with our vision to provide quality natural products that create sustainable design solutions for our clients projects.”
The 1,650 photovoltaic panels will produce a Solar Array Output of 526,151 kWh per year, offsetting roughly 352.52 tons of carbon annually.
